A global brand with a sustainable vision

Equestrian Stockholm is a premium fashion brand catering to riders, horses, and dogs. With a global presence, the company is committed to high-quality products and a strong focus on sustainability. CTO and Head of Business Development, Harald von Sydow, explains how Atmoz has helped automate their carbon management journey.

Estimating our carbon footprint was an enormous task requiring extensive manual work. With Atmoz, we get our calculations in microseconds.”

The challenge: Navigating a complex supply chain

With suppliers operating manufacturing plants in over 10 countries and customers in more than 100, tracking emissions across the supply chain was difficult. Equestrian Stockholm relied on estimates rather than real data, making it hard to pinpoint the most significant sources of emissions. Manual reporting was time-consuming, imprecise, and unsustainable for a growing business.

“We needed to see where we stood in terms of emissions – where our biggest culprits were and validate our assumptions,” says von Sydow.

Turning assumptions into data-driven insights

By using Atmoz’s carbon management platform, Equestrian Stockholm gained instant visibility into its carbon footprint. It automated emissions tracking, breaking down data by source – transportation, production, and materials. This allowed the team to move from assumptions to clear, actionable insights.

With Atmoz, Equestrian Stockholm gained instant access to their carbon footprint data, allowing them to pinpoint emissions hotspots, track progress, and implement targeted initiatives, such as climate-compensated shipping.

The results: Increased efficiency, accuracy, and action

Atmoz not only provided clarity but also streamlined the reporting process, eliminating the time-consuming manual data collection that had previously been required.

“Before Atmoz, estimating our carbon footprint was an enormous task – requiring extensive manual work as a baseline for assumptions. With Atmoz, we now get our calculations in literally microseconds. For a scale-up company, this level of automation is invaluable – it would otherwise require a full-time resource to manage.”

Equestrian Stockholm actively uses the Atmoz platform to track emissions data on a monthly basis, comparing year-over-year results to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.

One of the most valuable features for von Sydow and his team is the ability to generate reports that clearly highlight where action is needed. “With Atmoz, it becomes clear which accounts require an action plan or where we’ve already taken steps,” von Sydow explains.

Staying ahead of regulations

Although reporting isn’t yet mandatory, Equestrian Stockholm is proactively tracking emissions to stay ahead of evolving sustainability regulations. By integrating emissions monitoring into their operations now, they not only ensure compliance readiness but also gain a competitive edge and strengthen their position as a sustainable brand.

“Although we are not yet required to report under European regulations, we always want to be ahead of what’s coming . Sustainability is part of our company DNA. But what is also in our DNA is that we strive to be among the very best in everything we do, sustainability included, of course.”

Why Atmoz?

Equestrian Stockholm’s journey proves that when sustainability meets technology, real impact happens. With Atmoz, they’ve moved beyond good intentions to measurable, data-driven action – setting a new standard in equestrian fashion.

When asked if he would recommend Atmoz, von Sydow says:

“Absolutely. Atmoz delivers fast, intuitive, and actionable insights. As it evolves to incorporate even more precise data, it will become an indispensable tool for any company.”
