This project provides an all-in-one solution for waste management, renewable energy production, and sustainable agricultural practices. By capturing methane (CH4) emissions from animal manure, the system eliminates these harmful gases and converts them into clean cooking fuel, thereby reducing deforestation and preventing CO2 emissions.

Several dual benefits

The system generates biogas, offering households an affordable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional cooking fuels. Additionally, it produces nutrient-rich bio-fertiliser, which farmers can use to enhance soil health and increase crop yields, eliminating the need for chemical fertilisers. This dual benefit of saving energy costs and improving agricultural productivity supports both environmental sustainability and household savings.

What are household devices?

Biogas is a renewable energy source produced by breaking down organic waste such as animal manure, food scraps, or agricultural residues in an oxygen-free environment (anaerobic digestion). This process generates methane-rich gas, which can be used as a clean cooking fuel, and a nutrient-rich byproduct known as bio-fertiliser. In smaller production units, biogas systems are designed for households or small farms. These compact systems efficiently capture methane emissions from organic waste, converting it into usable energy. They are easy to operate and offer a sustainable solution for waste management, reducing reliance on polluting fuels like firewood or kerosene. The bio-fertiliser produced enriches soil health, improving crop yields while eliminating the need for chemical fertilisers. Biogas units provide an affordable, eco-friendly option for energy and agriculture, making them especially valuable in rural or off-grid communities.
